What's the price tag difference between a Tacoma and a Tundra these days? I seriously have no idea.

Tundra (TRD OR) with discounts is around $59K and a Tacoma (TRD OR) similarly is $50K.

I 'need' a larger truck. more payload capacity. In my job I'm often pushing the envelope on the Tacoma. I absolutely love the 2.5 AC. I'd be content to keep it going forever. Size and utility are perfect for my life, outside of the job. I'm pushing 170K on it and it's doing great, but the suspension is tired and to repalce it, with a very modest upgrade, no 'lift' but new leaves and shocks of high quality which would raise things just a smidge, as well as a thorough brake job, is a couple grand that I could direct to a new(er) purchase.

My Job is a gig worth investing in to a degree. I get mileage so costs are shared.

Well, yeah. I'm very partial to he previous gen, and a TRD PRO with low(ish) miles has popped up in Lexington and part of me is saying, stop being vain and sentimental, get the 5.7 and take care of it and use it to make hay.

I love Lucille tho, and I've done all the things to make her perfect. IT'd be a day just to remove all the easily re-sellable items

Most recent shot of Lucille (As in Ball) - a promise I made to the previous owner. I've put 150K of the 170K on this truck after buying it from my retiring office manager a few years ago. I still see her for coffee and she still loves the truck.

Sounds like time to buy the Tundra while the opportunity is there.

To bet installed: bling grill, headlights, fog lights.
Wife trims the back of mine when it starts breaking combs. She plucks out bird nests, rodents, etc. at that time. But she wouldn’t let me drink the 6-pack she found last trim :(

Been to LAX once on a 4 hour connection between flights. Spent a couple hours in the Bob Hope USO lounge; that was cool. Closest I've ever been, or ever will be to Hollywood. In fact, saw enough in and around the airport to tell my wife to please never route me through there ever again.
