We used to watch the little kids bowl with standard bowling balls at UM (Missoula) and they'd get better scores than we did while releasing the ball to roll very slowly... down... the ...lane... releasing it from the two hand hold. Fun for them, a little angst for us while cheering them on.

No frills open frame gens kick ass. Yes they are noisier than the duper duper inverter models but, for 1/3 the price
And the amount you use it, it’s a no brainer.
I just got a new one only because I wanted the electric start option. So I went bigger also. Lol.
Only change I made was switching the wiring to a floating neutral and made a bonding plug for stand alone operation.

 

Nice setup, I expected nothing less

 

All I run off the generator is well and furnace, have a hot wire set up. I really should get a more professional setup

I did get a use while running cover too since I’m not going to use a Gen box anymore. Since I have battery backup garage door openers now, I can get in much easier in any situation.

Don't regret my decision one bit though. Really liking that truck.

 

Yea that’s not the smartest thing to do.
Not sure if you saw mine but I have a lockout system and I have every circuit available.
Much cheaper than a switch box.

Oh yeah, I’m not that dumb, yet You should have seen the crap we would rig up on job sites, an upside down garbage can as a “junction box “ cover.
