On that note: I was surprised that Sumbitch's infotainment understands my voice/accent ... so I tried in Stitch again, nope, that lady in his system doesn't understand a thing I say.
I reckon they changed their algorithm between 2019 & 2022.

I'm seriously considering a boycott of said store because of this.

 

Bottom line is money any more ... self-centered greed and lack of maintaining any standards will be our downfall ... I just pray I die before it happens.

Retail always runs 10 to 12 weeks ahead of the actual holiday/celebration.

 

Home Depot is the same way.

 

Was just there and no Christmas stuff out yet.

 

I don't think it was always so early.

 

I remember being a young kid in the early to mid 70s and Christmas music tapes and LPs that were mail order would start advertising in the mid fall. Think Time and K-Tel record companies.

I have some old Popular Mechanics from the 50s and 60s. You can find Holiday advertising in the October and November editions.

 

Where did all these grumpy old men around here come from?
