Bought a refrigerator yesterday, pick and delivery this Friday. Bought the same one we had, Whirlpool . I have to install the ice maker and flip the door swing, maybe . The HD sales person wasn’t sure, I will be happy if the pickup and delivery goes without a glitch.

Yea i didn’t skimp. To bad it was replaced at the beginning of December a few years ago.Dam thing works great. Zone valves are a little noisy and pump pushes so much flow you can hear the water make a swoosh sound on valve closing but, with my hybrid hot water tank, roughly 50% oil savings…. It’s the smallest furnace they make and my oil guy says I could plumb into next door and run his house too NP. Just a whole new way of doing things and took a while to adjust to it.

Yea I stop using the “pipe bomb” expression. I have no idea what would happen if I tried to go across the border.
Yea X-ray shows wires, batteries, and the sensors weird shape. I’m sure it wouldn’t be good.

Previous owner installed (well paid someone to) my current Burnham all steel boiler in 2001, they did some real fuckery on the zoning. It's like the opposite of a work of art. No control box, they just jumped 24V to two different valves. It works, but is hack work o_O

It originally fed the hot water system too. It didn't have a tempering valve so you had luke warm water to scalding hot within a minute of taking a shower. Once I got my electrical panel upgraded I installed a 40 gallon standard water heater.

Back to the furnace. Last year it had been running awfully loud and would go through oil like a mofo. Dug into it this year and found the air band to be choked off. Adjusted that and took a look at the nozzle. Bugger had a 1GPH nozzle in it for a 1200sqft rancher. Must of been serviced by the oil company. I swapped in a .85GPH and I'm happy to say between the nozzle change and adjusting the air band it runs much quieter. Not sure on the efficiency yet.
