    If you have a say in the matter, I'd strongly recommend a cap with an outside mount that sits on top of your entire chimney. Protects everything!

    Similar to this one.

    Cap guy just left, a complete cover with only two holes, fireplace and water heater exhaust. Cap covers top six inches of chimney coming down. House was built in 72’ , time for some maintenance.

    Good morning stockers.
    Winter advisory warnings are already out for tonight- freezing rain then a layer of ice to top it off.

    I already need to wear the muck boots when walking in the yard to go to the woodshed. I try to spread out my path so that I don't completely kill any remaining lawn that I have back there. A layer of snow would be helpful or at least to have the ground freeze over again.

    Primer bulb won’t pump.
    Elect start need new starter. Wiring and switches ok. have a primer coming. Will fix it after these three storms. Starting fluid is the best primer. lol. Starts first pull.

    What! No Road Construction/deconstruction(?) Season? Have to submit to being surprised while driving my friend B.A. (Retired 6 months ago as school facility manager and custodian, still getting used to it) after meeting him for biscuits and gravy at Elmer's, and driving him on the second leg to Spokane International/Geiger Field. I haven't been out that way for several years, and discovered that a new paved road had been built, so if you miss the sweeping turn on the highway to the airport, and going into Airway Heights, the first turn to the left, at Longhorn Barbecue, is a straight road to a stop sign, and turn on the airport highway at the entrance signs. Cool! Same amount of time, no worries. Shocking when an improvement is just that! B.A. picked a great time to spend ten days in Phoenix, watching spring baseball games. That was Tuesday, 1" of cold, dry powder, and today we found 4" more of the same with northerly winds. Leaf blower, push broom, snow shovel, then the telescoping snow brush/ice scraper.
    My last commercial flight since retiring from AK in 2011 was a 5 a.m. departure out of Spokane on December 26, 2018. Start driving at 2:30 a.m. with no traffic on unplowed streets and I-90 after snow during the night, managed to park in the airport garage, and checked in with just enough time to make the flight to rainy Seattle-Tacoma. Brand new Alaska Airlines Boeing 737-900ER with mood lighting, oversize overhead bins, Recaro leather seats, ready for push back and the tug broke down. Another tug came in for that first flight of the day, and it was a quiet restful flight. I made certain to turn around as I walked out of the jetway, and the airplane was headed to Tampa next. Better weather there than Tacoma, but this was a two-night trip for my eldest daughter's wedding (rehearsal the 26th, wedding the 27th, and home the 28th). I'd rather drive with my baggage and care for my own security.

    @Charlie Bravo

    Road construction season starts just after summer season does.
    When the traffic gets real heavy, that’s when they pull out the barrels.

    No TP? That's what flies off the shelves around here first, long with the gas.
