Still chopping and shoveling. Our driveways are nearly identical in size. I snowblowed mine and our walkways in 2 hours tops. It was sloppy and wouldn't throw far. She let it freeze for two days and by the end will have in 12-15 hours of manual labor.

Would have been better off to do nothing. And let it freeze smooth

Was close to 40 today, so I did a quick clean of the engine bay on the Green Bean, changed out the air filters and lubed all zerks on the drive shafts. Have an appointment next Monday (3/3) for 200K mile service. Basic oil/filter change & tire rotation. Having the coolant system flushed as well. Was considering adding Serpentine belt check and replacement if needed.

Had a nice Date Day with wifey yesterday.
Got a set of Bowling balls to recondition. Went bowling at a new lane.
Had a great time until a kid grabbed one of my balls and used It as a frisbee.
Gouged the he’ll out of it against the metal bumper in the other lane.
So I tried to have a teaching moment about lane courtesy and the grandmother wouldn’t have Anything to do with it.
She said “Don’t lecture him”. So I explained again and said someone else wouldn’t be so nice.
    So learn from this..
No I’m sorry, no offer to get it fixed.
So I’m scrambling to get this repaired for practice today.
    I’ll be busy…

It’s unsafe ice season, I’m sure someone will be on the news. The shelf ice on Lake Michigan is extremely dangerous, but someone will try it

Good on you for trying to put a positive spin on the situation, unfortunately you met the source of the kids bad behavior.

I always think of the bowling scenes from The Big Lebowski whenever you mention things like that. :D

My wife is a longtime bowler and fills in on a team here from time to time. I grew up bowling candlepin, I only got into ten pin in the last couple years, but it's fun and I'm not bad lol. I'm starting to see the appeal.

They should know better. There are lots of "ratings" (single, twin, turbine) , but a type rating is specific to the aircraft, and usually requires an Air Transport Pilot rating with it. My son-in-law has a CFII and AMEI and has flown:
    1-C172
    2-PA-28
3-Game Bird (got his tail wheel endorsement)
4-Tecnam P-2006T (got his twin rating)
    5-C-310
    6-Beech C90 (King Air)-got his turbine rating
    7-Beech B200 (King Air)
8-Boeing 737-800--the only one on the list he had to have a type rating for, or an ATP rating

9-Currently working on his B-777 type rating.
