hangin’ in there chief. Thanks for asking.
Granddaughter started walking yesterday, so that’s cool. Have to witness it via FaceTime, so that isn’t!

I’m good. Work is a bear. Might have to consider a beefy truck. I’m ready for warmer weather. Standard March stuff.

What about you? We had the rain yesterday looks like it may dry out today. Hope you guys don’t get hit too hard.

Off towards the front/side of my house. The water will run right into the original 1776 dug well at my neighbor's house. It's no longer in use.

A friend's 2016 F350 crapped out during the peak of plowing season not too long ago. He fixed it enough to get it to the lot for a trade. New F350 was $87K after trade and incentives. Nuckin Futs!!

Ok, so need some assistance from all you who actually wrench...lol.

So I'm going to have the T-Case fluid in the Tundra changed at my next service (60K). Already did Diffs at 55K. Manual (see @Tacoma Mike....I read the manual :D) calls for Toyota straight 75W.

After a little research while avoiding the internet rabbit holes, it seems Toyota changed T-Case manufacturers for the 2nd Gen Tundra. I don't recall the year (2014 maybe). The prior manufacturer called for 75-85(90?), so you could use the same stuff in both Diffs and T-Case.

That straight Toyota 75W is $100/Liter.

Should I stick with what the manual recommends or can I run something less expensive?

    BOOM. Well done.

New trucks: The cost is unbelievable. Our 2021 Ram 3500 gas hemi runs wonderfully, when it runs. Right now it's at the shop with the cab and motor off the frame??? over $10k to fix a leak.

    Buddy's Sierra 1500 with 48K: needed a new motor

The Ford 7.1 gas motor apparently has reliability issues.

The new Tundras are getting new motors.

$55K for vinyl seats just to have a discussion on a truck you actually need payload for. And they all might leave you stranded. Then my trusty 4.0 just keeps on going. But it can't do the duty. Lot's of 1000# pumps in my life.

What kind of mileage are you getting, if you don't mind me asking. 5.7, right?

Suppose to have a special additive.

    Never researched a alternative..

Are you no longer exploring the used 2nd/2.5 gen Tundra option?

    Yes, 5.7. 2021

Before winter I'd say around 16. Seems to be 13-14 with the winter gas blends. Combo of city/highway. I managed 18 on one road trip.

It's not so painful as I expense all my gas, maintenance, etc.
