So after wiring the fridge up top the battery in the bed instead of the main. I used the new Pinnacle Black Label Ceramic Trim Restorer and it is amazing and lasts up to 2 years.

Doin' my occasional check-in on my fellow stalkers, I mean stockers...:D

Speaking of DIY, I can relate. The older I get the less enthusiastic I am about it (66 next month). Got the tools, got the space, done most of my own wrenching for 50+ years. Sometimes I just say naaa...
Case in point, I have a beater CRV (99) needs complete exhaust. Patched & cobbled it for a few years, but it's time. Got all the parts & hardware, taking it Wed. to one of the shops I deliver to, good guys. Gladly pay 'em an hour or so labor to stay off my back on the concrete, dodging rust & fall-out. Let alone all the cuss-words I'll save...
Wish home type lifts were a common thing when I was starting out, I'd have had one. Definitely a game changer.

I sympathize. My home AC had issues keeping up with SE Louisiana summers. Last year we bit the bullet, cashed out some equity, and replaced everything. The new system is having no trouble maintaining 72 degrees regardless of ambient heat and much better humidity control.

I wish I could do the same. I live in an old apartment complex, single pane windows, AC installed in the 80’s... I spend on electric for my apartment, what most people spend on a large house. I wish I could move into something more modern.

Been there too. Apartment complexes won’t usually invest in anything energy efficient unless forced to. You’re paying the electric bill so it’s no skin off their back.

Best I can tell you is heavy curtains or reflective material on windows to keep as much radiant energy out, and if you haven’t complained about the AC not keeping up do so. The Freon charge doesn’t have to be far off to really screw up an HVAC system.
