I may have no other choice but to tweak the linkage. Good thing I have a spare engine with parts.

I finally installed the gen. watt meter to keep tabs on it.

Sometimes they run power off of gfi outlets for the outside. My bathroom gfi also runs the
Outside outlet Near the bathroom window.. FYI..

Come do my electrical when youre done:D
Kidding. I got the wall all rewired. Only zapped myself once, even with the use of my voltmeter because im blonde as hell.
The kitchen lights are on the breaker for the back addition on the opposite side of the house, wtf? Just ended up shutting the entire house down as usual.

Was able to junction in the knee-wall upstairs and tap into a kitchen feed so the damned things turn off with the correct breaker now.

My electrical mess, All the rooms throughout the whole house is wired together. If I shut off 1 breaker part of each room won't have power. I have to shut off the main breaker for any electrical work.

Yeah, the meter read OL on all 3 lines and I was like "how are none of these a feed?" and in my infinite wisdom decided to start grabbing the stripped ends to verify. Well the meter was reading open lead because my dumb ass didn't have one of the probe thingies on it all the way and *zap* Found it! :anonymous:

I haven't had to re-label the panel because those switches now go to the "kitchen" breaker like they're supposed to. They were who-knows-where before. I have been writing what the lines are on each end so when I go to wire the box and lights I know wtf goes to what, and the person behind me will know as well. It's only a 2-gang with a 14/2 and 14/3 so it'll be hard to screw up.

And it wasn't an electrician, unfortunately. It was the prior home owner. He was a nice guy, but had no business working on anything house-related AT ALL. Has been dead for years and I still curse his name whenever I have to fix his crap.

48! Not my kind of morning. It’s 72 here at home and headed to the mid 80’s. With any luck we will have a few more hot days before the cold arrives!

It was 60° here this morning. That's a welcome change and not particularly common down here in August
