I tried the BITOG when trying to diagnose the running issues. There not much information on my Honda style carburetor.

The screw on the carburetor, Do you think it control the idle?

Can I increase the spark plug gap to raise the idle? Needs a new plug anyway.

You can adjust that screw and see what happens. As for idle adjustment by changing spark plug gap? I'm not familiar with that. But if it needs a new anyway....I would change it

When I change the spark plug on the snowblower I check the gap on the old plug. It was off slightly. The replacement plug was gap to spec. When I started the snowblower the idle was higher. I don't know if it was due to a wider gap or the old plug was badly worn.

The old plug is completely black. I was just anxious to get it running I didn't bother to replace it. I did purchase a new plug when I pick up the carb.

Yesterday I tried to break loose the screw on the old carb. Won't bulge. I may need to put the carb in a vice, if I can find someone with a vice.

    Good morning everyone!

Another nice day in the lower 70's degrees. It's a nice break from the heat.

We need some rain here as well. My lawn crunches when I walk on it.
