What kind of mushrooms are you after? Walking in the woods is great, with or without a reason. But don't sell yourself short, what you're doing is truckless overlanding!

Recovering from the county fair. Kid was super excited:goingcrazy:. Fortunately he's not old enough for the big rides yet. Stopped at wally world to get an air filter for the celica but they don't carry it. The 1zz is not an uncommon engine, wonder why they don't.

No mushrooms to be found here in the desert. When I lived in the midwest, morel hunting was a spring ritual. It was worth battling the ticks and poison ivy to bring home a bag full.

Heads up people. Just in case you care:

Mobil 1 currently has a $12 rebate on any 5 qt jug of juice or a $17 rebate on any 5 qt/M1 filter combo.

Meijer was out of the regular M1....so I grabbed this...the last one.

We stay at the Kentucky River Campground. Not stellar camping, but works well for this event...bunch of weezy old bastards on older italian bikes, sipping Bourbon and telling lies till the wee hours, then riding all day. We cover a lot of ground...different roads every year. As a resident you can probably imagine better than I cna name off hand the roads...where they keep the horses!! Lots of old rock walls on single lane roads...old Distilleries....couple newly paved country highways north of Stamping Grounds....all over.

Ya know, I'm in central Indiana, and I've heard tell of this ritual, but my own efforts proved fruitless...I'll give it a go again next year.

My in laws lived south of ya in Evansville for many years. We pass trough Ind going to Chicago every year (family there). And every couple of years we go to Holiday World. Took the kids to the Children's Museum in Indy once when they were young. Cool place

I'm a recent transplant to Indy. 27 years prior to that in Chicago. Some family and most friends are still there. Still discovering what's here. This annual jaunt to your neck of the woods is one of the few things in the plus column, at this point.
