    Good evening "stock" mates.
Got a week off, time to get a few chores done and hopefully slip up island and see if I can find some Steel head.
Or I could relax, have an adult beverage and think about all the mods I won't do to the Tacoma. :D

I have one of their torque wrenches and it works perfectly fine, could also pick up a calibration tool while your there. They have a digital one.

And she went a little further from stock today. New tires, Last piece of the puzzle.....

Sup fellas? Was out of town yesterday. Not around here much. Put close to 300 miles on the Taco. That put me right at 65k miles.

    Did that service this morning.

    - Oil/filter
    - Air filter
    - Techron fuel system cleaner dumped in
    - Some power steering fluid love
    - Lubed the outer steering shaft joint
    - Threw on my Trail rims so I could take my Sport rims in for a tire balance tomorrow. I will rotate when I put them back on.

    I didn't do shit.

Was informed the Toyota lbj's are out of stock. Got to get this truck back up so went with AC Delco professional. Looks like they are pretty much 555's. I know it's recommended to go with oem on these, but I'm not doing any jumps.

Right on! she's down for mechanicals, or is the tin out getting a refresh?

I've got a v-twin also, Italian style. I'll be putting +/- 600 miles on her this weekend in the woods and hollers of ol' Kentucky. Nothing like it!

Nice! That's a lot of work, man. Must be hard to have it down this time of year. Been a great year for riding after a couple with way too much water....

    Mornin folks.

I was kinda absent yesterday....busy the whole day with work and the FIL. The nursing home where he was supposed to spend 3 weeks there for PT called my wife and said he isn't improving and that we should probably take him back to the hospital. He basically doesn't want to do the PT and wants to lay around and have pain killers thrown down his throat. In my opinion they couldn't do anything with him and just wanted him gone.

He's very demanding, very high maintenance and very ugly with people much of the time. I can understand why they may have wanted him gone.

So....back to the hospital. They dumped him off at the ER last night. Wife was there till 1 am. So I haven't talked to her this morning yet for any updates.

Bottom line is.....if he can't walk on his own again we're looking at $10k a month for care. Haven't a clue where that money will come from. We're looking into options.

Sorry about the FIL... look into the Medicare and medicade, I think they have financial assistance for nursing care facilities.

Yes, he has Medicare. But in order to qualify for Medicade he'll have to give up all his assets....something he doesn't want to do. Either way though, what money he does have will go quickly. He doesn't seem to understand that
