Would the orange on the top side have better visibility, on land and in the air?

My friend got into a construction accident wearing the orange t shirt. The orange wasn't bright enough to be seen.

He got ran over with a excavator. The tracks crush his legs.

Either you're better at photoshop or it did snow. No, snow angels?

It's always fun to do snow angel in deep snow. Then the snow have to be clean out of the butt crack.

    How's your grandmother doing?

I noticed that when I was flying.
White was the easiest to see.
Had a few guys that had dark planes and like you said I had to pay extra attention and I did
lose sight of them. Radio’s helped immensely.

My limited experience with POR-15 have been positive. Keep in mind it doesn't like UV (Sun) without a topcoat.

Does white disappear with sun glare?

Hard to explain but, in my case
If the object is between you and sun it turned dark like a spot.
Glare has no boundaries. In any situation it can cause problems no matter what.
If the other plane was lower a darker plane would get hidden by the darker landscape but
Would stand out more during the winter with a snow background. So catch 22.
Crystal flies in a completely different scenario. Close proximity with quickly changing
    Vision acquiring issues.
That’s why she is playing with multicolored fabrics....
Even edges of different colors will help it stand out.

My rc stunt plane is yellow on top and blue on the bottom.
During Hi Rate spins and rolls It’s the contrast I’m looking for.
Color means nothing in that case. Light or dark is all that was critical...

Don’t know if that makes sense but in my case that’s how it appears.

The dark spot, is it shadow from the sun being on the opposite side of the aircraft.

I don't know what colors are more dominant and stand out the most in full sun, cloudy weather.

There's this replica Stainless Stain or Aluminum Nazi war plane fly overhead the house. Every movement I can see the sun's glare, reflections bouncing off the airplane, like a mirror.

You figure I would know more about this stuff considering my father was a Seal.

    Mike FTW! You're wicked smaht!
The orange on the topside would help a little, maybe. But the issue there is its more prone to fading and degradation than the straight white is and not much more visible from a distance and the orange top and bottom on each other would actually make it appear darker. We don't deal with anything glare-related where we're flying dacron/mylar fabric aircrafts.
I'm always higher than everyone so they don't see the top of my glider anyways :plane:
We fly with Spot/SOS beacons and radios and if I'm worried about being bright so I can be found in the woods then my dumb ass deserves to sit there for awhile and think about what I've done. My parachute is bright red and if I'm in the woods that has most likely (hopefully) been deployed anyways.. Or I'm dead, in which case I don't care how long it takes to be found. We seldom put ourselves in a position where there's not a landing field and backup field within glide.

I thought putting a white leading edge onto my see-through gray wing with dark blue undersurface would make me more visible.. It didn't.
Here's a shot of my glider from my buddy Max's POV at one of the competitions in FL. He and my husband said I disappeared constantly.
    Florida flying.jpg

My husband's wing is bright red with a white top, I can see him literally from almost two miles away so that's why I swayed to the orange (to match my truck, of course) and to have a brighter color.

Anyways enough of that, good morning everyone.
