Since this one is oil, does it make it better than a oil free compressor?

Milwaukee has many batteries. This little M12 (12V) 3A battery lasted all day when I replaced deck boards on a 16'x20' deck. The Fuel system is amazing. The tool and battery "talk" to each other for optimal power and battery optimization.

And then there's the 12A M18 battery for my Table Saw and Sliding Miter Saw. It'll rip 600' of 3/4" plywood on a charge.

These are my two go too Milwaukee's currently. The 1/2 inch is too much for most automotive work besides removing lug nuts. The 3/8 is pretty good for reaching in suspension components with the right extensions/contortion. They're not cheap, but they take one hell of a beating. I wonder if they make fun of people when they talk to each other.

My M18 battery don't talk they are boring.

I've got a Ryobi 1/2" impact. Love that thing.

I've got a ryobi impact driver and drill at home for house projects. After getting my Milwaukee's for work... I'm making the switch.

edit: I should also mention the reason I got Milwaukee in the first place, is that all the cordless tools in the shop at my work are Milwaukee. So we've got two charging stations and at least six charged batteries ready to go. Also literally every other millwright has the same impact because they all like them so much.

Is the M18 battery pack the one Milwaukee is recalling?

Ryobi has come a long way. I know some builders who don't bother buying hand power tools. They'll buy a Ryobi multi-tool kit, use it for a big job/build and will just toss them or leave them for the client. They just build the cost into the pricing.

I've got a Ryobi drill/battery gun too. And the Milwaukees are super nice. But that may be a future purchase, as my current guns are working great

I know they aren't the most popular. But they've served me well so far. I haven’t had them quite a year yet. So time will tell. The impact as actually a gift from a neighbor. I've also got an ancient Chicago Electric impact that's 20+ years old. I've beat that thing to death and it just keeps going.....though it's not seen much action with the Ryobi around

The expanded safety notice for corrosive fluids getting in the battery pack? It's not a recall (yet) just a safety warning.

I think they're fine for the average homeowner and DIYer.

Agreed. They've definitely expanded their market though. Just look at MCM
