Right, Microsoft Edge is chromium (google developed) based. Windows 10 is not. Windows 10 =\= Edge. Edge is just Microsoft's new browser. Internet explorer should still be default installed on Windows 10, I have it and could use it.

 

Microsoft has changed a lot. I don't believe it has been a standalone install for a few years now. It's what they call a "Windows Feature", which is part of Windows 10. Windows features can be turned on and off in settings, but the installation is usually baked into an update. I'm guessing the current update, Windows 10 2H20 I believe.. may have internet explorer turned off in features by default.

 

I know. Gonna have to mentally prepare myself.
