    Happy New Years, another day at work here. Nice crisp cold air and clear blue skies to start it off at least!

    Boy, sure is quiet in here today. :tumbleweed:

    Either people are out and about or drank too much last night, or I just have no life. Most likely that :laugh:

    Weather here today is crappy, starting to ice up pretty good. Staying cooped up inside; garage is too cold to work in. Gonna remedy that as I plan on picking up a torpedo heater for the garage. Tired of being shut in the house for the winter...

    Yup, similar to what I want to pick up. My garage is smaller so they have an 80K BTU unit that should work. However they have a sale going on at Tractor Supply so a 140K is only $50 more. Can't decide. The 140K is a little overkill honestly.

    Lucky... My roof is metal and is a solid sheet of ice right now...

    advice

    Buy more than you think you need.
    Better to have it and run it easier than not have it and run the snot out of it.

    You are exactly right. That and if and when I get a bigger garage I won't need to get a new one. Hopefully they'll still have the bigger one in stock...

    I’m out in the garage a lot in the winter. I was working on stuff and it was 19° outside.
    I was comfortable

    Yea I seem to remember the one I borrowed from my old work was right around the 140K size. I had the heater core go out on my old S10 several years ago and it was right around 15° outside at the time. Kept it around 55° and it was nice to work in. The heater core replacement, not so much :laugh:

    Cleaned up and putting away some things.

    Also my oldest daughter had a friend stay the night. Her grandmother gave her an '09 Camry XLE Hybrid about 6 months ago that she had bought new. So I pulled it in the garage and gave it a good checking over. What damn nice car. I owner, 68k miles, moonroof, leather. Couldn't find anything wrong with it. Oil was clean and full, all systems working, scanned it...zero DTC history. And like most Toyota hybrids, the brakes looked about 90%+. Tires were 75%. Engine was clean too. That old 2.4 purred along like a good sewing machine.

    I never had anything that nice at 18

    Heh, that thing was a badass little truck, just weak as hell. 120HP 2.2L of fury (not) with 3.42 gears. I had to rev the snot out of it to get up the mountain. Musta pushed it a little too far as all of a sudden my windows just fogged up and I was Ace Ventura'ing it on the ride down to see when the core blew. Had a lunchbox locker in it that was sketchy to drive in anything other than dry. It finally sent me into a guard rail one cold November morning. Astonishing enough with the help of a sledge hammer and ratchet strap to pull the bumper outta the tire I drove home. Still running to this day with a white body and green junk yard fender...

    @Tacoma Mike

    Used my new Autel scan tool today for the first time. 1st on the Camry Hybrid. Then on my daughter's Yaris. Clean bill of health.
