    Heh, not while under warranty...

Speaking of dealers I am having the complete run-around with my dealer at the moment. My temporary tag runs out next week (2/17) and my registration has yet to show up! I didn't even require a new tag, just transfer to the new truck. They send the paperwork/taxes to the notary (how we get tags here in PA) and they send me my new registration. I called both notaries that they use and none of them have any paperwork. Try to get ahold of the salesman who sold me the truck, no answer. Call and leave a message with the dealers tags and title department, no call back. I try and call them again... no answer. Tried calling the general manager, no answer. So it looks like next Monday I'm going to have to bust in like the Kool-Aids man. This shit is aggravating! They will only issue one more temporary tag, but at this point I'm tired of the stupid ass paper plate on my truck. /rant over...

Sadly, I'm still in Prep mode. They decided to have new carpet installed before the paint job, so I'm having to tape all of the baseboard trim, caulk, spackle holes, etc. Started pulling doors today too.

    :angrygirl:

It's a low pile carpet, so I can't compress it much to try and tuck the tape down below the top of the carpet. I'm only working in arms length sections.

And thought about not taping and using one of those wallpaper blades/edge things as a guide while painting, but I'd have to wipe it off often and if you catch the trim with it when pulling it up/out....gotta redo.

I don't tape anything else. Not worth the time. I can cut in pretty good.

Forget the salesperson and sale manager. That's not their wheel house. When you get there, ask to speak to the title clerk directly. And if it's just some slow paperwork then I'm sure they'll give you a new temp tag

I just got a text telling me they want to replace all the door hardware (hinges, knobs, door stops). Extra work as I leave the hinge on the door and paint around it. I do remove the hinge from the jamb.
