Can you get bed liner color matched? Thanks for the tips, helps a lot since I'm pretty green to it. I don't want it to look like garbage, but the main goal is to preserve it from becoming a rust bucket. Do you clear coat the bed liner? Still use primer?

You can get tinted bed liner, most guys either do a two tone, the bottom half bed liner the top half normal paint. Some people just do the entire vehicle in it, and it does give it a rugged look. My super white access cab had terrible paint, couldn't keep it clean or get it clean for anything.

Oh forgot to update you guys. We did look at that house, but it was a total bust unfortunately. It looked great on pictures, but in person, whooo boy. The 70's red carpet in every room was an easy fix. Most everything was a cosmetic issue until we got to the mechanicals. The water lines were a harry homeowner special mix of galvanized, copper, and CPVC. Easy fix for me as I have a PEX tool, but it didn't stop there. The gas water heater was from 1988 and definitely not too long for this world. The electrical was the worst; there was a small main breaker box with like 4 different sub "panels". It was a walking Maryland code violation... The upstairs "bedrooms" sheetrock was just put up there and painted at one point, not even floated. The bathroom would be a gut job before moving in as well. All those issues are easily fixed by myself (jack of all trades, master of none), but would cost me atleast $5,000 in materials and permits just for electrical and plumbing. The house was listed at $146K; definitely not worth it. I'd be all for it for $115-$120K, but they already turned down an offer of that. Nope, not worth it. Really sucks as we did a work commute simulation (as we had to go that way anyways to get home) and even in rush hour traffic it was under 10 minutes... Onto the next one...

Yea if it was just me, I'd live with it. However, my mother lives with me (as her retirement income is not enough to live on and I'm not letting her stay in some shitty place) and not suitable to her lack of mobility. Yea, kind of a weird situation, but I'm a big mommas boy

I understand houses at my price range are going to need work, but this one was hacked up too much.

Guys up here never went that fancy.
    No idea on clear.
The truck looks in to good a shape to go down the pop rivet, sheet metal, Bed liner road..
We reserved that for the last gasp pass inspection deal.
Once you start doing it, you can never go back. So think hard.
    I’m not responsible.....

Yeah, it looks good from a distance for sure, but take a step closer and there's rust specks and just bigger than specks pretty widespread. So I am looking for a good solution to paint over a widespread patch repair job after I sand them out... It seems like something that people don't really do though.

Yes sir we all good now. Had some frozen pex tubing in the attic but got it all thawed yesterday and insulated better. We have been lucky and only lost power for about five hours
