Initially had thoughts of winch bumper and sliders...but I've decided I won't be using "Stitch" for anything rougher off road than the trail out to my friends cabin...and we've made the trip a dozen times now, couple times in the snow...I'll be stayin' stock. Might add some accessory lighting of some sort...still mulling that over. Most recent pic from end of September out at the cabin:

What would you recommend I'm looking for a 2nd Gen 5 lug to deliver in I drive about 400 miles and night and I know the four cylinder 5 lugs average 18 to 25 miles to the gallon but I was talking to a few people with the v6 and they said the gas mileage ain't that different if you skinny pedal I currently have an 06 v6 prerunner and the best I've gotten with it is about 360 out of one tank of gas I'm wondering if a 4-cylinder would do better in five lug

From what I've read. The 4 Cylinder's mpg isn't that different from the V6's mpg, in tje real world. But you have the additional power of the V6 if you ever need it. l know some people will say that they'll get 23 or so mpg from the 4. But I think it really all depends on the geography where you are driving. I have the 4.0 V6 and I average 16 - 17 mpg with a combined highway and city driving. Plus that includes steep hills.
I've also git 21-22 mpg just doing highway speeds in relatively flat areas.
You might be able to do a bit better with a 4 Cylinder. But will you have the power needed for your deliveries. I'd personall recommend the V6.

I like the power of the v6 but the problem is I have to fill up twice every night and I was wondering if I could get one fill up witha night a 4-cylinder if I can get like an extra 30 miles at a one tank of gas then I would stay with the v6

I have the 3.5 V6 and if I use the pedal commander set at ego I have got as much as 26 mpg but I was not hauling anything. It is also 4X4 dclb. Keep in mind it will be sluggish but once you get rolling its ok. I normally run with it set on city plus and when I fill up the truck will say I can get 385 per tank also running 265 70 17 bfg KO2 ATs which took some of the mpgs
    Not sure if this helps

    Thanks Bill.
My 2007 Access Cab 5spd 4 cyl 4x4 got a solid 21 avg Summer and 19 Winter. I'm seeing about the same from this 2019 DCSB OR V6 6spd. I run Blizzaks in Winter. Don't know if that really helps, but it's my experience. :notsure:

I had a second gen 5 lug access cab. Mine was an SR5 with an auto trans, so it has cruise, power windows and all that. I drive a lot for my job and put about 45K on it in 2 years. I would get 24-25 mpg with it, and got 16 pulling my boat up here (Hot Springs) from Fort Worth. The little Taco was just about perfect for my needs, It had a bakflip on it, and was nearly 100% dry under the cover, so I used it as locking storage. I pulled my little bass boat with it, and it did fine when we lived in Texas (flat ground) but didn’t do so well here in Arkansas on these steep and crooked roads. I still wish I’d kept it, i have a smaller boat now that I’m sure it would pull fine. I still see it around occasionally.

I expect most folks that have them are using them in some manner similar to your intent; which means they intend to keep them until they fall apart under them. Bit of a unicorn on the used market I'd expect, but wish you luck finding one convenient to you.
    :fingerscrossed:
You might watch the car auction clearing house places. Not sure how that works exactly, but the 5 lugger is the kind of vehicle some outfits lease as fleet vehicles. When the leases are up, often times dealers clear them off to auction. I know because my 2nd Gen was a leased vehicle out of Oregon cleared to auction at lease end and picked up by Magnum Motors up here.

This 3rd Gen doesn't recognize the sensors in the 2nd Gen wheels I picked up for my Winter tires...no worries, I never had sensors in my set for the '07. That's when I started calling it the good traction light.;) Figure I drove 30 some years w/o TPMS.

What brought them up here, military?
