Productive and enjoyable, for certain.

Mom gave her deposit for her Studio in an independent living facility. Now the house goes on the market and she finds a place for 87 years of stuff. Plans to move in around May 1. The thing is that 2 weeks ago, we were'nt even talking about taking this step because her health is fine. We've all (Her, myself and my sibs) have covered a lot of ground in a short span.

At the same time, my daughter, who lives here in the same town, also had an offer on her first home accepted last weekend when I arrived. So they're both moving the same week. Not the vacation I planned when I took the time off from work, but I certainly made good use of the time.

 

Glad it all worked out for everyone!

Been in nearly this exact situation with my wife's parents. Not easy....at least in our situation. Lots of emotions all around. But ultimately it worked out and they and we, were very happy with the decision. I wish you and your family peace during this transition
