My barn find. Appears to be a 64 but could be an early 65. I need to do more research. Been sitting 40+ years.

Are you going for all original, mostly original or full blown modern chassis and drivetrain?

I have one of those 327's in a t bucket.

You could sell it as is to Jeff Hayes. He builds some wild corvette creations for Barrett Jackson that sell for millions.

    I had a red 64, 64 is a split window. Is this a convertible?
It takes ALOT of money to restore one correctly.
And those front drum brakes are worthless for stopping FYI, HAHA

    Outstanding!
Strange though, all the dirt on the top of the air cleaner. Seems there wouldn't be any at all with the hood closed and the cover on there.
    MORE PICS PLEASE!!

Thanks for the interest... not sure how a 'vette post would go over on a Tacoma forum, like I said, for the car guys.

As with most barn finds paperwork and keys are "somewhere"...

My buddies who own the house that the garage barn find is in dont have the knowledge or experience to do anything with it. I looked at the market for these cars and there are quite a few restored C2's out there and yes they have dumped hundreds of thousands of $ retoring them in the hope of getting 75 cents on the dollar back. My advise to them is to sell it as an original barn find and save the hassle and expense of even just getting it rolling. The back polyglass tires took air, the fronts did not. I have yet to put a wrench on the crank and see it the motor is locked and if it is free Ill bet the clutch disc is stuck to the flywheel. As to the brakes, yeah, 4 wheel drum with no power brake and a single cylinder master... there is no power steering either, just a big steering wheel.

This was my jaguar XKE 1969 2 seater barn find I found. I cleaned it up and had the paint buffed out. The inside had rats and chicken shit and stunk.
It took a good week just to clean it but came out nice. I sold it “as is” not at auction and the title of course was a problem as it was not available and lost. That was my biggest issue but finally after months got it figured out. If the title is not available depending on the state that can be a big issue.
It didn’t run when I sold it. But wasn’t going to spend hundreds trying to fix all the mechanical issues.

    Beautiful Glamisman!!!!!

65 fenders have 3 vertical slats
63 was only yr with split window(same non functional horizontal fender vents as 64)
As I have faith in Glamisman, he would of posted a pix of the RARE split window to confirm 63
BUT many 63’s ordered with hard top/convertible

the hoods are different between 63 and 64
    64 has nothing
63 has 2 trim louvers near front of hood

my guess is 64 base 327(wheel covers/no ac plays in my guess)

    freakin incredible

Going to head up tomorrow with a flashlight to see what I can see VIN wise. Hoping the glovebox Tag / VIN matches whats on the block.

I bought an ozone generator a few years back and on old moldy smelly vehicles I will run in inside the vehicle with the windows closed for multiple 6 hour sessions. It is amazing how much smell that removes. After that I would take the uphustory off the seats and put them in the washing machine to clean the dirt... works pretty good.

EXACTLY... too many times I have seen someones dream build go accross the auction block at Mecum for 50 cents on the dollar. You can buy your custom built hotrod cheaper than you can build it. I have attended Cars and Coffees and many other car shows in a few cities and us old guys will look at everyones stuff be it import tuner or rat rod to see just how this guy put his creation together. Unfortunatly the younger crowd just hangs around their group. You walk up to the group of BMWs and the hoods are open and you look. I dont see anything out of the ordinary. You ask the owner what am I looking at and they respond with I put bigger turbos or I did a custom software tune and a better central display.
