I hadn't even left the city I bought my T4R from when I got my first. Had my other one 6 years and still good, less than a year on this one and ready for a new one already.

I have a total of 4 chips in my windshield so far...that's all from 1 1/2 years of driving it. All are sealed. I'm lucky it hasn't just cracked yet.

Yes I have a Pentle Hook on my reese hitch and it sticks out pretty far from the bumper. It Man handled the smart car before it ever got up to my bumper.

Mine got hit by something big the 1st week I had it. Scared the heck out of me. It looks like someone hit it twice with the bottom of a coke can...2 overlapped rings...kinda weird looking.

Also when we got snow last week, a huge crack from the drivers side to the passengers side appeared. Never heard anything hit it.

Sucks man. Though knock on wood I've been good so far... and it's been hit by plenty of rocks. Always look all I find are some little surface dings, nothign to worry about integrity. Of course, just for saying this tommorow.............

I had to have the First windsield replaced. it happened like 2 months after i got the truck and like a week later cracked accross the whole windshield. Then on the aniversery of the first chip I got another chip. and then this morning I got a second one. I have an appointment to get it repaired this sunday because now it is a hazard for every one else on the road. It is in my direct line of sight and I can't stop looking at it and it angers me to the point that I want to hurt people.

Truck has 3600 miles on it and I have a 12 inch crack at the top of the windsheild. Stupid pebble kicked up from an 18 wheeler in front of me on an exit ramp. On the other hand I still have a 2000 maxima se which I bought brand new in feb 2000 and it still has the original winsheild with 91000 miles on it. Go figure!:notsure:

On my old '93 chevy I got a new windshield once and within a month it was chipped. Several years later got another one and within a week it got chipped. It bummed me out pretty bad both times.

Yep, got a chip on day 4 after buying the truck... sheesh. I had it sealed and you can still see it when you look for it but it's not very noticeable. I drove my previous car for 13 years and never got a chip, go figure!

Mine seem to come about 6 inches from the outside edges. I'm on my second windshield, the first one never really gave up (I had around 6 chips fixed) but I hd a run in with a hail storm and the insurance company just had it changed out for me.

I've had 3 chips fixed on this one so far.

I also get pint chips on the hood, but not just on the leading edge but up between 1/3 to 2/3 of the way up toward the windshield.

Might have to do with the air flow.
