    OEM style running boards
Just a shot of my truck after a 1/2 mile trip down a muddy road today. From my home, it's either 1/2 mile to one city, or if I have to go to another city, it's a 3 mile "gravel" road.

I ordered my truck with OEM mud guards. My cost on the option sheet was $140. Had to wait awhile before they could get them. After I had them installed, I noticed my truck looked a lot like this picture. My running boards were ready to install, finally got a dry day and put them on. They serve to stop any rocks being slung from the front tires. However, as you can see, they do little to stop mud. Goes right past the lower outside edge of the mud guard and ends up now on my running boards!

So if you're running around looking for OEM mud guards, don't. If you want a set, I have two. Mine took so long that I bought a set off eBay and they're all new in the boxes. I'll keep my used set for when it comes trade time. I'm going to give the Plasticolor jobs a shot.

That is sad man. My truck is a street princess but at anytime I notice road grime spray on the side of my truck I'll be taking the OEM mud guards off and pitching them in the dumpster.
