after 25 complaints they are look in to this. This is why folks need to reach out to these government agencies when they are having some these "safety" issues with the Taco

    For howling holes lol ?
Nothing like failed brakes in a F150.
    That's pretty bad.

I agree that brakes are pretty bad, but there are lots of issues that folks are having with the TAco, and some of these losing power issues could bigger safety issues

Lots of issues ? BS. Lol.
Such as maybe a cps in very early builds? Nothing else I see. Stir the pot.
100,000 + people run out of gas each year which is the same.

Not trying to stir the pot, being real. Running out of gas is drive error, cps failing, rear differential going bad, transmissions failing to engage or sticking between shifts.

My point was, if we want these issues fixxed, use the government agencies to push them along.

I apologize if I stirred it up for you, that was not my intention. But we need to be real, there are issues and some folks are being told thats just a characteristic of the truck (BULL SHIT).

Sticking? You mean flaring, and that's not a safety issue. Lol. Failing to engage or delay fixed with tsb. Not a safety issue.

Sorry, I will go hide in my corner now. I am just a dumb stupid know nothing shouldn't be allowed to type on a forum. I will go crawl back into my hole with my own thoughts.

FWIW ... we built some steel and some aluminum fire trucks and military equipment and the aluminum crushed better in an accident (absorbed the crash forces) & held up better in general. Weld cracking was a problem at the beginning.

It took a while to get the hang of working with aluminum plate and 6061T6 extrusions, but that combo makes great civilian equipment.

I really like Toyota products, but Ford's aluminum almost won me over. I wish the Taco was aluminum.

    CPS failure?
Seams like a pretty big safety risk on the highway.

So the local ford dealer will sell me an XLT F-150 FX4 (4x4) with Nav for $39,999 and another great toyota dealer will sell me a TRD OR DC LB 4x4 for $38,725.
Been very brand loyal with Toyota for 10 yrs now. But the larger interior size appeals to me. Never owned a FORD.

...^^^... It basically comes down to: ... "what size truck do you want and/or need" .. ???

Ford gives you more bang for the buck in a truck ... until resale time.

I might have bought an aluminum bodied Ford if I wanted a bigger truck ... but need a smaller truck now.

Had 2 Tundras and loved both of those too.

IMO, Toyota makes a better truck than Ford, but I like that aluminum body in southern USA with no salt.

How is it possible that you mock other members for stating that their are "lots of issues" detailed on this forum for this generation tacoma. Do you not read the complaints?
All vehicles have some issues, including the new Tacoma. I realize this is the Tacoma forum, but constantly bad mouthing other vehicles is just juvenile.

I have a similar set up. They both have their places and are both great trucks. The Tacoma is perfect for the trails, the Ford is better for towing and long trips.

He is the Definition of Fanboi.

I had to put him on ignore but when quoted I still see his BS.

He always swoops in to tell anyone with an issue to just get over it since Toyotas are inherently better than anything on earth with wheels and all other vehicles have problems that will kill you while you sleep and torture your children.

You people with problematic 3rd gens just don't know how good you have it so you should bow at the Toyota shrine and offer a monthly sacrificial payment with no complaining allowed.

Last year (2015) before they were caught gaming the system. Look at the extended (?) cab.
