I don't normally dangle in public but I made an exception for the truck

 

Maybe THAT is what I need to do; get the TRD skid plate. I took my front air dam off when changed my oil last time and it looked like $hit, so I put it back on. Granted I have a basic SR. I am waiting to clear a project off my two-post lift and then will be putting on my 5100's and some 265's. Maybe the new stance with a skid plate will help, the looks of yours is on point!

 

I promise it's fine. Toyota wouldn't let their flagship model be unstable at highway speeds.

 

It does clean up the look a good bit. I think you'll like it a lot better. I only took the air dam off when I decided I was going to do the skid plate and demon brackets/hooks.

Here's the email response I got from the company:

"Thanks for reaching out,
Its up to you if you decide to use them for recovery, Mainly they are for looks but are able to handle up to 8k before bending/ causing damage to the hooks. The mounting brackets however are able to handle the full amount of the vehicles weight ratings. so if you choose not to use the hooks you can pull them off and attach to the mounting bracket."

 

Thanks, I'd read that thread or one similar. My truck is 2wd and will only be going to places that auto LSD will get me in an out of, so nothing more than dirt, grass, or gravel with some small ruts. The hooks won't see any heavy duty recovery if any at all. If I really get stuck I have a shackle hitch receiver that's made for the occasion.

 

So can I buy the air damn from one of you who has removed it?
