    It's also important to remember that you need to use the sound deadening products in a smart way in addition to using the RIGHT product for the job.

    What I mean by this is making sure you don't waste deadener in trivial spots like where two pieces of metal bond to each other or areas that are so structured they don't resonate. Use the deadener in broad areas that are resonant. This is why Don's general guideline is apply 25% coverage in the MIDDLE of the surface. That's typically the most resonant area.

    Yup, that's why I recommended going to SDS since Don will quote what's required, this includes just 25% coverage for vib damper, and he knows the sq.ft. required for Tacomas. Good set of instructions is also included, along with all the install materials needed.

    Preaching to the choir here I know, but from the sounds of the OPs post, a good, competitively priced, one-stop shop might be best.
