Given your situation at home and the practicality of everything, if you HAD to give up all your vehicles except ONE....would you keep the Tacoma? Or one of the others? And why?

Of course this is all just make believe, but I am curious as to the replies....

I would keep my truck simply because my wife's car is a mercury (aka ford:boom:)..

..she got the damn thing before we got together.

It would be a close call, but I think we'd keep the Tacoma. My wife said this morning as we were driving how much she likes it and she knows it makes me happy. Not that our Impreza is a bad vehicle by any means, just it's a 2008 and even with only 80k miles on it it's starting to feel it's age.

I basically did this when I got my Tacoma. Was tired of maintaining and paying insurance on cars I rarely drove, so I sold my cars and F250, and got the Tacoma. It's small enough that I can easily navigate and park with it in the city, gets decent enough fuel mileage for commuting, but is large enough to haul around 4+ adults while towing a boat/trailer.

We did keep my wife's SUV as well because we both need a car.

I think it would have to be the Tacoma. The wife's Rav4 not so good for hauling a quad or trailer... plus I like my Tacoma too much to give it up :D

Tough call, i would guess that i would have to give it up a vehicle due to financial hardship. she has a civic which gets double the mileage, not to mention less maintenance costs. On the flip side, we would have to rent vehicles to do any hauling as it doesnt have a bed and cant pull my trailer

we'd keep the tacoma. To versatile to ditch. Can fit a small family in the double cab, fit in most spaces, easy to drive, and great for road trips.

It'd be curtains for my Taco. Wife's Highlander is better suited for a family, more polished and more comfortable. Can't haul or tow anything, but if we're making sacrifices...

    My decision: Keep the Tacoma.
My wife's decision: ??? Not sure, cause she likes the hatch in her car (Ford Edge) but also comments about getting checked out by young dudes (she's 34) when she drives my truck. So she might say to keep the Tacoma.

Lift, tires, mats, blah, blah, blah...
If my wife and I took turns driving, her car.

If only I drove, the Tacoma.

    Funny you mention that.
My Son need a vehicle so I gave him my Truck a 2004 Chevy Colorado with 190K on it. Truck is still running fine, never had an issue.
This left me with a 2014 Mustang GT and a Harley Davidson Road King, which isn't a practical combination by any means. Traded the Mustang and got a 2015 Tacoma with 5K miles on it.
I'm pretty happy with the decision. I loved that Mustang, but it's the second one I've owned and I hated parking it anywhere that someone might door ding it or decide to key the "Cool Car."
The money I'm saving on insurance and payments are going straight in to the 401K.

No question, I would keep the Tacoma. The other vehicle is a Corvette -- it is a toy and it is very fun, but impractical as well. And it won't haul the dirt bikes or provide adequate storage space for camping gear.

The Tacoma does everything I need, but it won't take a cloverleaf on-ramp at 50 mph.

the taco would be bye bye, and we would keep the Wifes fully loaded Honda Pilot. It has more bells and whistles than you can shake a stick at, and can fit quite a bit of shit in the cargo area, along with being able to tow decently

Taco would be gone. With two kids the Honda Pilot is a better all around kid mover, the Taco not so much.

I have a 2009 Heep Grand Cherokee. I would sell that bitch in a hurry!! Runs rough, seats suck (water stains them), window trim is cracking, vent tabs broke off, and new water pump at 62k miles. I don'g have much faith in it but i bought it really cheap. 1 yr old with 20k for 15k.

Couldn't get my wife to even sit in a pilot. Wish I had one instead of the Jeep.
