Is it worth the money to get this option?

Class-IV towing receiver hitch, 28 ATF cooler (not available on manual transmission), engine oil cooler, power steering cooler, 130-amp alternator, 4- and 7-pin connector with converter, and Trailer-Sway Control (TSC) 22

Im new to trucks, what kind of application i would need these option?

    Thanks

It's an option for towing. Do you plan to tow a boat or a trailer?

not sure at the moment. But i would like to possibly tow a lightweigh race car in future.

But it seems like almost all offroad models come with this option.

Best thing about the TRD Off-Road package, IMO. If you plan on doing any off-roading you'll be happy you got that package with the locker.

Even if you don't end up doing any towing, it's definitely nice to have the ATF, oil, and power steering coolers. For the money, this is one of the best options you can get from the factory.

Always good to have a towing package on a truck. You never know when you might need it. Small price to pay in the grand scheme of things and in the chance you ever need to sell the truck it will make it more marketable.

^+1. Also, like someone said above, almost every TRD truck comes with the tow package. Harder to find it without.

You're debating about spending $650 additional for the tow package when the rest of the truck costs north of $34k?!

Also, most people who buy a truck want the tow package, so if/when you ever decided to sell the truck it would be that much easier with the tow package.

I don't have immediate plans on towing, but I would not buy a truck w/o the towing package. It's not that much $$.

Basically the extra coolers are to help protect the truck when it's under load. The truck is working harder when towing, especially the transmission and engine. The coolers are there to prevent overheating and damage of those key components. Even if you don't tow, it can come in handy. Off-roading is the next common place it can help. Definitely doesn't hurt to have those coolers though even if all the truck sees in commuting and an occasional Home Depot trip.

Tow package is worth it on any model. If you don't plan on towing now you may have to sometime. Besides, 650 dollars for all that can't be beat.

Towing package is almost always a good option to have to ensure longevity of the drivetrain. I wouldn't get a truck without it if I could help it.

I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. You never know when you might need to pull something. It's a small price to pay in the grand scheme of things and it's not something you can easily (or cheaply) add on down the road if you change your mind.

    Yes.
Not like you'll have much a choice anyway; most all Offroads come with it.
