Depends on the year and version. Some newer wranglers pale in reliability vs a YJ. Just depends what stupid shit the manufacturer did..

    Hmm.., that sounds fuc*ing familiar...

    Ha!
Only Pro owners can rollup and not get the ignore button pushed! Us regular folk Taco owners get the cold shoulder.

in Albuquerque your full size would have gotten stolen. More fords and dodge's have been stolen than any other truck.
Chevy's are number 3 and Toy's are way down on the list. Of course if they try and steal my Toy..
My personal protection device comes into play.

In Los Angeles it is the opposite. Thus my Gen 1 sleeps inside the garage. Gen 3 gets driveway at times. No one will still a turd gen :D

Don't own a TV (in home or in cars). No antennae or cable

Then again never listened to music, AM radio all my life.

And I am not in the AARP

    Go figure

My YJ is still rocking! Just replaced the rear main seal. about the only maintenance in the last 15 years.

Before my first taco, I had a salvaged title Cherokee sport 5 speed straight 6. Loved it, wanted another but couldn't find another manual to replace it with at the time. Had to get rid of it due to it always leaking when it rained. First kid born wife said kid not going in to the smelly, stinky, nasty jeep. So after about a year searching I traded it for my first taco, used.

Yeah I deal with my leaking main rear seal lwith a piece of cardboard on the garage floor and a quart of oil in the back hatch, lol.

I'm keeping the XJ. After all is said and done keeping that as my off-road play toy makes sense. Durable, reliable and if the 4.0 get's tired, a new crate motor goes in. Other parts are plentiful, aftermarket support is as good if not better than a Tacoma- really tough to beat those XJ/YJ's..

Same philosophy applies to them as do Taco's- they are relatively trouble free until you really start modding the shit out of them.

Don't see how anyone could argue that, it's a unibody and based of a pilot and odyssey platform. Some people here lol

It's more like a Subaru Baja.

That's something my son likes- those Subbie Baja's..

That's the thing I think you captured...the "Corvette Guy". I'm a car guy who had a list of wants for my STi replacement and the C5 best met my needs. That being said, having come from the Subaru world which has transformed from young people typically in the engineering / tech fields to the worlds worst bros (thanks, Ken Block). I've been trying to de-obnoxious mine a bit and throw in some of my import tuner background style into the car.

It's funny, I think the color / model has a bit of play in the stigma, but you can tell a mile away on the car. If I see a red convertible with a white interior, I'm rolling my eyes a bit, sadly. But yeah, anything Z06 or otherwise understated, I'm a big fan of.
