To answer honestly, two reasons: (1) I’m waiting to see if LCE’s offering(s) is cheaper than the URD, as well as what, if any, is the difference in installation between the two, (2) I’m just curious what they come up with, haha.

Not in any negative way — think more of a rumbly sound between about 2,200-2,800 rpm’s. The sound isn’t off-putting at all, neither ricer car nor gravel-trap.

And I believe I have gains, however I also replaced my cats with Magnaflow highflow cats, and replaced my Oxygen sensor & Air/Fuel sensor, all at the same time. Oh, and I cleaned my throttle body and MAF. And changed my spark plugs. And engine air filter. All combined it was like having a new truck, haha. But, I know my truck pretty well after 260,000 miles, and I’ll bet the LCE Header made a significant difference.

Fuel economy before everything was basically 14.5-15 mpg — After 17.5-18+ mpg.

Hope you find what you are looking for

2.7 in a turbo is better than the played out 1.8, 2.0 that comes in just about every car nowadays...why some car companies are trying to push turbo 1.3 and 1.4L now is beyond stupidity.

I bet if you get a safe setup you will have better gas mileage unless you step on it. (I have no ideas sorry)

My hope is that the turbo kit would come in a little cheaper than the supercharger kit, but I don’t know. I’m not the guy to know such things, haha. But, either way, you’re right. Gonna be a stack of pennies.

Half the Rules/Laws are stupid and should be totally ignored.

And to top it all off how much of a say as citizens do we really get?

We probably have close to ZERO say and rules/laws are passed in secret rooms and then shoved down our throats.

even the companies we work for try to push rules down your throat that are not legal yet they think they are above state and federal law and they are not.

Life is to short to deal with silly rules and laws.

    LIVE IT UP!

Build your own, I did... but you can’t do it for $2k.
I did it because I wanted to stay in 5th going up hills.
For the money, possible to do a V6 swap (and recoup by selling your 4cyl)

If I was made of money I’d go to Diesel Toys, in San Antonio (3 hours from me), and let them drop a Toyota Diesel engine in my truck, with the matching 6 speed manual. But that’s about $20,000 more than I’m willing to spend, haha.

Oh yeah, I've dreamed of making a phone call to that place. I looked on eBbay, found I could get a whole engine/trans/ecu/harnesses for ~$5k delivered and came real close to pulling the trigger but decided to try my hand at boosting [had always wanted to].

What numbers were you able to get with your kit? HP and TQ wise?

Don't know yet, my clutch slips before I even get to 2500 rpm when I get on it. I'm in middle on deciding upgrading clutch or swap to auto transmission at the moment.

    edit:
full disclosure, this is a built engine with upgraded internals and I'm running a turbo that puts out 40psi+ [currently using a 10psi spring]. I wouldn't worry about HP numbers, just know the driving experience with 5psi would be completely different and this engine could definitely use it. I can go up large/steep hills with cruise control in 5th @ 65mph no problem (requires 3-5psi).
I feel OP's desire for a little more, even if just to keep up with traffic.

Oh, man, in the right mood I probably would’ve gone in for $5K. I’ve spent a good deal of time on other Toyota enthusiast forums, however, and all I’ve read would probably land me in a sea of trouble when faced with the reality of doing the actual swap. Haha. That false sense of knowledge one gets after watching someone else successfully pull off an engine swap, compared with me starring at a pile of hoses, trying to remember/imagine what goes where.

    @2fast2.7
I lce headers & a injen intake myself. Definitely gives a lily pep in the 4 poppers step! Didn't get a lot of hp but the 2.7 is wired differently then a 4.0. You need to bring the torque band down from 3000rpm. Headers will lower it bout 500rpm & intake bout 250rpm. By time you even get close to feeling the power your @ 3000rpm. I'm bout 2000/2500rpms by time it has a get up & go. It helps a lot w/ hills too!;)
    Follow me?
Look up tooter. He was a member on here that proved all this w/ dynos to back it up.
Headers are bout $450 & intake bout $230. Worth every penny to me. Been running both for 2yrs now no issues. Installed myself.

I just turbo'd my 3rz for around 2k. It's possible if you do you're own work and are only looking for low boost. The manifold and turbo are the biggest costs. On paper 5 psi should put you around 200hp at the crank.

The intake flange used is what the spacer is based on
