I've got a 2013 4 Cyl 5 Lug with the 15" steel rims. I bought some almost new Ford Escape alloy 16" rims off of Craigslist ($250) that match the 5x114.3/67.1 center bore/12mmx1.5 lug size. I'm thinking of putting 235/70/16 or 245/70/16 tires on the Escape rims. Anyone have recommendations or concerns? Thx!

    Doh!
Just realized I'm responding to a 12 year old thread.

Your bore center is 60.1mm so you should use bore spacers to keep the wheels centered.
Make sure the wheel offset is compatible.
According to this chart, using a 16" Escape wheel (same specs 2000 - 2015) you will lose 24mm (1") of inside clearance

I have 235/70R16 tires on my 2013 AC but I'm using Highlander wheels.

The 01-12 Ford Escape hub center is 67.1mm, so no need for an adapter on 1st gen Taco - mine is a 1999 model.

I believe the Taco hub center changed to 60.1mm in 2005 on, so your comment to the OP with a 2013 model from a 2013 posting is spot on.
