Well, mine has an AC Delco (GM) filter on it right now. It was on it when I bought it and it's not time for an oil change yet.

I have ran Ford oil filters for years on my 22RE engines. Twice the size, so more filter area.

The fact that it is a Ford, probably means it'll cause a breakdown soon. (Found On Road Dead).

If you want a red oil filter, get a marker and use it on an good oil filter.

You need a seconds voting option.

I use Walmart SuperTech HM 5w-30 and a Motorcraft filter in my father in law's '04 Sienna. Both are cheap and effective. 125k miles and she purrs like a kitten and uses no oil. Been doing this for years.

    What's the big deal?

Motorcraft parts are actually really good, and available at Walmart for super cheap. I don't see the problem. On a related note, I have a couple of YZZD3's that are free to a good home.

with the exception that fram oil filters leave the sealing ring on EVERY FILTER HOUSING EVER.......thats why i never use fram......

back in the day we used to run an FL1-A (big ford oil filter off of their v8s) on the grand nationals because they held more oil. its no big deal. but for what i get oe filters for, ill stick with yota filters.

As I mentioned....I've been using a MC FL-793 on a Toyota Sienna for years. Walmart stocks them and they're very affordable.

Who gives a shit what filter was used?

A Taco owner shouldn't throw stones. While a Ford owner is towing 5k overcapacity just fine a Toyota owner just went threw another set of leaf springs.

Ah this is good info. I'd probably go for one of those before anything else Walmart carries. Good to know in case I am ever in a pinch.
