Ford Raptor blows the doors off Tacoma TRD PRO

Oh it's not that big a deal, you just roll into Ford and they throw new cam phasors at it. Bam, back in business. Routine for them. I literally sold my Raptor for my 3rd gen Tacoma.

I would have kept it if my other option was a hybrid-8-speed-turbo-4-cylinder-new-chassis-Toyota. No thanks.

 

Wait, a Ford with "SERIOUS" engine problems is better than a Toyota?

 

A wiz-bang-hybrid-brand-new-turbo-8-speed-4-cylinder Toyota? Yeah.

Id choose the Ford with the known issues over the 4th gen with the unknown issues.

Or better yet, the 3rg Gen Tacoma.

 

Not to be confrontational, but that's like saying that you'd date a girl who you knew was a raging alcoholic before you'd date one who had no known issues.

Call me an old fart (i'm not old), but I dont really care for it. Dont like the digital gauges, the do-everything Tesla screen, the grill (ugly af), probably more. I'll pass.

You have to be f'ing kidding me. I am not buying a Raptor without Raptor lights.

 

Since everyone and their brother has Raptor lights on their Tacomas, just get the Raptor and put some "Tacoma lights" on it.

 

I'm not buying a Ford until the Ferd F-teen Thousand comes out.

But I'm guessing all of Toyotas new-fangled tech and hybrid option is in large part due to California. We have the EV mandate coming up on 2035 (which I don't agree with) and have some of the strongest emission controls on the country (which I largely do agree with). I think Toyota is going on the right direction... But I definitely am not someone who is an early buyer for any new models/tech/etc.

True, but at least I will be able to tow 18 other trucks, 4 horses, and a whale across the barren wastelands.

 

How long will it last before it breaks down? It's a Ford.

 

The local Ford dealer was allocated (1) 2024 Ranger Raptor. $60,000 + $10,000 mark-up.

They keep trying to tell me that they'll only ever get (2) per year. I don't believe that.

 

It’ll probably break sometime after the Tacoma.
