Don't stop there. You forgot to list JD Power awards as a sign of reliability.

Serious note. Fords reliability has gotten a lot better.

Ford has a hard time building upper model trims w/o waiting yrs. Look at how many first day order broncos are still waiting. Recalls after recalls. Ford has problems and it starts with the top BSer.

Anybody else notice that it looks like Ford designed the lower front fascia to be removed and replaced with steel bumpers without cutting?

Only on the Raptor and the previous years.

Why they didn’t do that on the Average Joes trim is anybody’s guess. Not a fan of incorporated plastic bumpers into the fascia. Does look like there is at least a separation on the corners where it meets the fender, unlike the Tacoma.

Depends how large the dealership is, I worked for Ford dealers for 9 years and the smaller guys never received great allocation from Ford. Some never received any GT500's, I was at a large dealership and we would get 4-5 year and would buy GT500's off those small dealers who couldn't move them.

Serious question: how reliable is the EcoTurd engine?

Have a buddy who is a senior tech that worked for Ford. Said they are solid, have fleet vehicles that have 250-300K on them with very little issue, he swears by them. But that is one guy’s view, take it however you want.

Each vehicle is different, really don’t know if it is any good until you personally put the miles on it.

Have a very long list of repairs for my past Toyotas, two of them had engine failures, one of them, the famed 22R let go at only 125K, yet I bought another one.

If the electric motor is at full output, the battery has about 5 minutes of power available.

The whole point of a hybrid is to save energy that would otherwise be lost as heat during braking, and let you use that energy for short term acceleration. During normal driving, a few horsepower from the engine are used to top up the battery (if it needs it) which means you have some zoom zoom for passing.

For sustained driving, the power all comes from the engine, which is why the highway fuel consumption is essentially the same for the two versions.

I admire the ranger raptor, quite a struggle choosing between it and a 24 off-road. The off-road has gained traction for many reasons, torque and fuel mileage just to mention a couple. The idea of being married to 93 octane, 15 mpg and questionable reliability is a hard sell.

Having 4 foot between the wheel wells is nice too though......I digress.

We don't yet know the G4 fuel mileage though, right?

No though I understand that it's expected to be around 25. Somewhat speculative compared to what they know of the other vehicles with the same power plant.

I resemble this remark. Also might buy a Ranger Raptor.

Do like the drivers ergonomics in the Tundra over the Fords, storage can be addressed on the Tundra with a rear seat delete, have no need for them.

Dunno, each had their pros and cons.

It’s a petty reason but I can’t get over halogen only in the TB Colorado. Maybe a change for 2024. Also the digital dash looks terrible in Chevy/GMC. Only the ZR2 and Denali AT4X get the full digital cluster, cheap move.

Got to get the GMC they are all LED headlights, no Boss though. The upper trims on the Colorado have LED? I can't recall.

I prefer analog gauges, even if there are going to be screens and digital displays. The digital stuff does look cool, but I like something to still be mechanical. GM analog gauges still look like the same ones they had in the 98 Impala.

Well since all GMC’s have the same lift as the Trail Boss I guess the GMC is the way to go. A base Elevation would be tits.

I think the Elevation is available in that height. I like the WT plastic look of the TB, it could use some basic LED headlamps. I'm leaning towards the HD Silverado with the Alaskan pkg RC. There's a midnight pkg for the 4dr HD which is only available if you chose black, but it looks nice LT trim with the Custom exterior treatment and the Alakan pkg.

I never noticed how much the Sierra HD hood looks like Ford's hood, and now the Tacoma. Must have been the refreshed headlights. The bumper badge is odd.
