And im sure the ford is 100% perfect and there would never need to have anything modded that would add to the trucks price ...

The videos look pretty good but theres always improvements to be made. I just dont think that truck is "perfect" If you look at all the pictures of this thing its got shit for ground clearance

Our stock trucks have about 8" of travel stock. They're pulling about 50% more travel than us stock vs. stock.

The 12" travel AllPro kit is considered true LT. It's all relative from the starting point.

Im just stating that it wouldnt take that much to make a tacoma outperform the raptor. If you did get full camburg and cage the rear the tacoma would kick the livin snot out of the raptor 400hp or not. As you know, desert you can only go as fast as the suspension lets you. If you were going to really prerun the ford all the stock raptor goodies would wind up in a pile on your garage floor.

They're definitely behind the desert racing movement. I met Joe Bacal when I was at Primm and he's got the corporation behind him. He was a TRD test driver for 20 years before going off on his own and the company is behind him big-time. The Lexus he's racing is sweet and he's got FJs for chase vehicles. Very cool to see!

Everything can and will be modified to fit needs. Honestly, if I were to do it all over again I would have went with a base model v6 rather than the offroad package because I ripped everything out anyway.

I'm just saying that, stock vs stock, it's a more capable vehicle and the cost to get a Tacoma to the Raptor's level of performance more than covers the cost difference. I'm not trying to get you to buy one.

This was my plan all along! I have so many vehicles just so I can let them run in the driveway over the weekend. If I can't afford to tow my truck to the desert I'll make the desert come to me! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

i think ive agreed with u before on another thread.

the fact that u can just drive off the lot with the stuff you posted is incredible.
i dont even think u included installation prices.
and the fact that you get the sound and power of a v8 under your pedal as well.
thats raptor is a great truck. and ford is giving out a hell of a price.

it's one thing to be proud of your tacoma which we all are. but it's another to be ignorant or have too much pride and bash on a great deal/vehicle.

    i wouldn't go with a raptor.....but i hope my dad gets one so i can drive it:D

IMHO i think the raptor is a great truck for the guy who wants an off road capable truck but doesn't like to modify it. thats why the raptor is so nice, because you have a very capable off road truck from the factory.

i personally would rather get a simple truck and modify it to my taste so that i could have the experience of working on my truck, and have the option of what i add and don't add.

so in a sense, the raptor and tacoma are like apple and oranges.... actually apples and lemons, cuz i personally like the tacoma more:p
