That's a horrible idea. What time?
Connector and 6 toggle switch as a package deal for about $75 on Ebay.

Pins 11 & 5 are the power feeds.
There are 2 options: Both can have IGN sourced power Or Battery (hot) power but not both.
These mentioned pins provide fuse power to the attached relays. The drawing just shows one switch.
The switches have 2 LED. One to illuminate with the rest of the vehicle switches when the light switch is turn to Parking/Tail mode.
The other LED is to let you know that circuit is ON.
Pin 12 goes to the vehicles illumination circuit (+) Pin 3 to the (-). That provides illumination to the switch.

Ok. I will double check what I have. Probably not till the weekend. Right now it's all disconnected from the battery and safe. I will use the info. Thx.

Actually, the setup has 2 switch (last two) that are fed by pin 5, this can be a fused battery or fused Ignition source.
    upload_2021-6-21_23-50-51.jpg
The other 4 switch are fed by pin 11, which also can be to your choosing.
    upload_2021-6-21_23-51-35.jpg
Since you stated that the switches stay ON (orange) when selected, it must be missing the tie to the dash illumination (+) & (-). Those pins are #12 & #3 respectively.

" Stay on" - the switches don't illuminate as far as I can tell. When I hooked the ditch lights up, those stay when the relay is turned on, as if the switches are not there. The only thing that makes sense to me is have the harness wired wrong from the pins or the switch is bad. Again, novice label is generous.

I little body filler, sanding and paint would be a complete job.

A very early mistake. When I laid out the harness, I wired it to the pins in reverse order. I didn't realize there were numbers in the corners to help with locations. We were able to cut and resplice / solder in the cab.

The finer details will have to wait. Prepping for a trip west in October. Now that I have this working, a few more things like area lights, cargo lights, etc to get done.

Thanks @Shveet for the guide, it was super easy to follow.

I 3D printed a trim plate for it… I think it turned out pretty good. Since I have a 2021, my traction control button is on the switch panel to the left of the steering wheel. I was able to make a spot for the locker button in the trim piece and the sos button is going in the headliner.

I’ll post the 3D file on thingiverse and link it tomorrow for those with 3D printers. (Note: some minor filing may be necessary for the button to fit in the holder depending what button you put in there).

if anyone wants a trim piece but don’t have a printer, I can print/ship one for around $30.

Any pics of it apart before re-assembly? I see some trim scars...

    @caribe makaira

Unfortunately I didn’t take any. Those couple of scars on the right are from trying to pry it open with a screwdriver but you actually have to take the middle piece out first which has a couple small tabs you need to pop with your fingers or a screwdriver.

If I remember correctly, it is easiest removing each panel left to right.

If you removed the traction switch to the driver's side cubby, would there be enough room to leave the SOS in its place and add the switch panel?

I love the creativity! Yours and the OP’s. The overhead area is a great place to throw some extra switches. I did something kind of similar hacking up a Meso lower switch panel and lots of epoxy and bondo. Hopefully someone will come up with something a little more user friendly at some point. I’m not sure what else could be done on yours though, at least I had the sunglass holder space to work with.

It would be super tight and definitely need to be trimmed, my guess would be no. If it didn’t have the protective door I think it could be trimmed enough to fit.

Rock solid dude! Glad to hear the guide was easy to follow! if there was anything different that you noticed in your '21 vs my '18, let me know.

Implying the SOS switch block is the same as the Traction control button block size on my 18, then yes, it'll be a tight fit.
