I want to be one of those Phoenix posers that drives up to Flag for the weekend to see some snow and I am hoping to get some off road time in while I am up there. Anybody from Flag know of any good trails or Forest Roads that are open in the winter?

    Thanks in advance.

I know you can get near the Cinder Hills OHV area during winter. All the trails are closed down in the Mountannaire/Kachina area during the winter.

You can get in off of the I-17 at mile marker 330 IIRC.

Unfamiliar with any other openings during the winter. They usually seal up a lot of stuff pretty tight, but I am no expert, nor do I explore that frequently.

Was just up there during the recent snow and FR 231 and all connected FRs in the Southwest Flagstaff area were open.
