Toytec has a great reputation for customer service and when choosing between SAW, Camburg, Icon and the others I took this into account. I called to order my parts (C/O for my 06 tacoma) and was directed to a lady who, though VERY nice, had little knowledge of the products and could not answer my questions or address my concerns. I had to wait on a call back from Doug the next day.
I odered the parts and all was well. They arrived in a timely manner and packaging looked great.
My friend and I tore the truck down and had everything apart and the c/o on and one of the relocator brackets on and when i asked him to reach in the box for the other one I got a - "uggg, man? I don't see it." So we turned the box upside down, searched high and low and it was not there.
I called toytec to find that they were more annoyed than concered. "I'll have to pass you to someone else to deal with this" was the reply. Not once did any one apologize for their mistake. After all i have a truck that is taken apart all over my garage floor and it's friday and I'm stuck. I have to get to work and get my kid from daycare.
Partly my mistake for not laying all part out proir to install as I usually do. I hope the part arrives soon. Until then the swaybar is off of the truck against my better judgement.
The parts looks great, instructions are great, packaging and shipment went well. but the exclusion of critical parts is a HUGE inconvenince esp when coupled with an apathetic additude from the retailer.

    Toyota's are awesome
I apologize for the problem you had. When you called the other day I had 2 phone lines on hold so I was not able to handle your problem directly; I was not inconvenienced at all nor did I intend to come off that way. I did from the office next to mine hear Sarah apologize by the way.....
I did authorize the part to be shipped immediately without question VIA AIR. at our expense.
We had several sets of the coilovers packed by a new employee with only one bracket. We do have a very good system and 2 people must sign everything we ship out. Because of the location of those brackets in the package somehow they were not visible.
We have corrected the problem and again I personally apologize for the problems you had with our company.

Uh oh....here we go again. People, people, people. Give the vendor/supplier some time to respond to you before you "vent" on them here. We had danced this dance a few weeks back with someone who was pissed because he couldn't get results in a nano-second at closing time on a Friday.

The problems always seem to get rectified if given the chance, but to jump on the forum and tell your tale of whoa before the ear piece on your phone cools down is not the way to do it.

Deep breath, in with the butterflies....out with the beast.

How come we see many of folks here putting on parts right out of the box instead of taking an hour or so to sort through everything, have a game plan "just in case" and MAKE sure all the pieces are there so/if there is a problem you have amble time to get it taken care of. ( the only thing that should get devoured straight out of the box is Capt'n Crunch Peanut Butter Crunch) It's like those who drain the rear end housing only to find out the can't get the fill plug off. This falls into the "measure twice, cut once" rule of thumb.

Take your time and stop beating up the vendors. We know how excited you are to get your new pieces parts and to get them on to impress the next guy. But to slam someone before they get the chance to fix it, bad karma.

Just because the woman who answered the phone didn't seem knowledgeable doesn't mean she wasn't.

Think, think again and then when you have the time.....keep thinking.

Just a few glimpses at some suspension threads and toytec threads and you can tell how much praise they get from customers. This is the first non positive thing i heard. If everyone says how great they are then they must be. I doubt they have free money to pay people off to say nice things. We are all imperfect. We all make mistakes. And toytec fixes their mistakes quickly and in an appropriate fashion.

I will be giving you a call Doug for my lift soon! thanks

Its just a swaybar relocating bracket. No big deal and I dont even see the reason for air shipping, but thats how toytec makes things happen.

    BIg thumbs up to Toytec.

I was very disappointed that I could not drive my newly modified truck due to missing parts. I neglected to take some time away from the situation prior to writting my message - my bad.

I was unaware of the fact that i could simply remove the swaybar completely and could still have a truck that worked (although i will not have my baby in the truck until i get it sorted with the bar intact.)

Thanks Doug for making it right. I appreciate your efforts to get the part to me asap. No one indicated that the part would be air mailed to me - that information, at the time, would have greatly improved my additude. I thought i would be waiting the standard 7-10 days for UPS like for the C/Os.

My apologies. Thank you for taking care of this (minor) situation and thanks for a great product.

Glad to have you with us. The last guy we "guided" must of been driving a HUFF because he left in one.

Good thinking on the safety of your child.

Keep up with the mods and don't forget the camera.
