After changing spark plugs I forgot to reconnect the cable and when I fired up the truck it barely ran. Felt like it wasn't getting enough fuel to the engine. Then the Check Engine light came on.

So I found the dangling cable and reconnected it. Light is still on. I guess it will stay on until something resets it, right?

disconnect the battery for a few minutes, but you could go to auto-zone too and get it cleared there.

I did the same thing when I did the deck plate mod. It went away after starting it about 10 times. Many vehicle computers will clear a code if the condition that caused it doesn't reappear multiple times.
