    I ordered a set of Form Tail lights last week. Any feedback from those who already have them?

    Why do people post asking for feedback after they have already made the purchase?

    Form taillights are just rebranded Chinese imports from Vland and the like. There is a reason those imported products carry such a short warranty.

    Why do people post on a forum? Jag bag responses… 2 year warranty doesn’t suck and a cancel window.

    But hey, thanks! Douche.

    Form is a resell company owned by Diode Dynamics that sells rebranded Chinese Vland products at an up-charge to US consumers over what those products cost. Vland's 2 year warranty (aka Form's 2 year warranty) is pretty poor compared to the competition. CoPlus and Morimoto offer 5 years on their LED assemblies and Diode Dynamics offers 8 years. Vland's products are mediocre at best, known for poor performance and poor build quality and early failure compared to other brands. You can buy similar stuff directly from Vland shipped from China off Amazon and ebay, you're not getting any kind of special product.

    Posting looking for feedback after already having made the purchase rather than researching before leads to buyers stockholm syndrome.

    The Form reverse and brake lights are inadequate from a visual perspective imo. I'm running the stage 1 VLED kit in the oem tail lamps and pitty anyone with a stigmatism driving behind me. :laser:

    Nothing like asking a question about lighting then calling the resident lighting expert a douche.

    I've had mine a few weeks. No issues. Cool as ever. Even with smoked lense, they are bright.

    So what are you looking for? Confirmation bias that the purchase you already made won't suck? You already made the purchase, you aren't going to like what anyone says unless it's positive.

    The truth about those is they are cheap chinese junk. They may or may not work for a while, yes you have a 2 year warranty and a cancellation window. Whether that is good or not is up to the person buying them to interpret. If you are satisfied with those chances, then go for it (you already did, so you are).

    Personally, I think they look like typical cheap aftermarket crap, and the start-up sequence is super lame. They are at the end of the day, cheap, and Alpharex level quality (i.e. not great results) should be expected.

    You apparently have no forum, and no aftermarket lighting, experience.
    Let me help:
    1. Never attack the poster by calling them names. Attack the post, meaning, tell the poster why he is wrong. This will save you from the ban hammer.
    2. If you don't know something about the subject, light lighting, come here first, nicely ask questions and then make a decision. It will save you money and heartache.

    We know why people post defensive posts such as the one I quoted. You already bought the things and are trying to justify your purchase, and your supposed due diligence, and you wanna hear what a good job you did in making your decision. When someone shits on your words, it hurts and people immediately become defensive.
    If you hang around, you will find out there are a lot of people here who know a lot about a lot, such as lighting. I know next to nothing about lighting but I do know a bit about physics, how international companies operate, etc. We have several knowledgeable mechanics and technicians. We have automotive insiders. We have experts in drivetrains and experts on the Tacoma as a whole. We have machinists, tuners, electric wizards, woodworkers and everything in between.

    We also have funny people, sad people and dumbasses. We have good moderators. In short, just like the town where you call your own. I am going to tag a few of them just for fun:
    @caribe makaira
    @crashnburn80
    @six5crèéd
    @Carmaker1
    @BigWhiteTRD
    @4x4Runner
    @StayinStock
    @ColoradoTJ
    @PapaRee

    I just listed a few (there are hundreds), above are people who can tell you all about lighting, tuning, wiring, lifting, going offroad, making cool metal stuff, automotive intelligence and how your Tacoma drivetrain works. And, their word is mostly gospel lol.
    So, if you do stick around, read and learn and enjoy!

    I'll echo what @hiPSI said here, there are a lot of good people on this forum. I am blessed to have talents that others don't, other have talents I don't. I'm not jealous of others and what they can do, I don't make fun of those who can't do what others do.

    I have no talent in lighting, therefore I choose to not even click on post related to lighting :D

    I honestly am not a fan of any aftermarket lights. Kinda disappointed in the Mori's even. I'm happy with my Meso stage 1. If I didn't get the kit for a screaming deal, it sounds like the VLEDs is the way to go.

    I don’t have anything technical to offer here outside of wondering why DD would potentially sully their reputation with a lower quality product being associated with them.

    My assumption is it’s to capture the budget market to keep up profits so they can keep offering high end items, but my business acumen is low.

    Any insight?
