It’s just cool to see it in a second gen. I kept staring at the grill like WTF??? My eyes kept trying to make out a third gen grill but it just wasn’t happening and my brain couldn’t compute.

Hahaha Scotts Body Shop in Fayetteville did the work. I highly recommend Scott if anyone needs something painted or fixed.

Thanks! Yea its getting nice out minus this week. Its just about time a get together got set up. I have some JDF goodies on the way so the truck will be down for a minute between updating it and some travel I have coming up. But after that I'm in for URE or a trip to Ashville or Tennessee.

what JDF do you have on the way? I got a lower pivot, double shear tabs, and gussets sitting the garage now. They are on point with their products

Nice. Lower Pivot, Double Shears, Slide Rack, and bucket reinforcements should be here in a little over a week. Plenty of cutting and welding in my future. Im not LT yet but Harry made a set of OEM length aluminum tie rods to match the heims. Steering racks will hopefully not be a problem anymore.

I haven’t seen the slide rack available yet. I have been waiting on that before I dive into it all. How much was the rack and how did it take to get to you?

The Slide Rack was around 1400 I think. You have to call JDF and order it. It was a 3 week lead time

I’d never heard of JDF until now, that Lower Arms Pivot looks pretty good. Especially if I don’t have to do a CMC or mess with the pinch seam.

Only if you stay at 35s, eventually you gotta tub if you plan to stuff the wheel. But, hell yeah, they are cranking out some really nice stuff.

I don’t plan on going over a 33”. Not interested in messing with he TSS or really cutting. If I decide that I need 35s or bigger then I am buying a Jeep again. But 33s should get me everywhere that I want to go and most places that I don’t want to go with the right line.

I said the same thing...minus buying a Heep. Agreed about the right line getting you where you want to be. But...I wanted to make my own lines so 35s, F&R lockers, and now these JDF parts became necessary. CMC is nothing on these trucks. Folding the pinch welds takes 10 minutes. If you just want 33s, doing those two mods plus an alignment are your best bet time and cost wise. Just an opinion.

Just bought the Howe Power Steering Kit to complement the Slide Rack. Are we getting a 4th stimulus? :bananadead:

OME lift with Dakar’s is probably what I’ll go with but I’ve been looking at a few others also. Add 4.88 gears and hopefully I’ll be good. I still need to be able to tow my camper when needed.

I’m still making a list and sorting/planning out the build plan though.

Beautiful Taco man! no clue on local fab shops. Got all my shit while up at JBLM. But I’ve been wanting to hit Uwharrie since I got here. I’d love to get a group of us out there. Strength in numbers. But get some time on the firebreaks as well around Bragg is always a good time.

Nah not a fister sorry. Just a man who likes punching buttholes. Like my father before me. One of my brothers was a fister outta Bragg for a while though.

definitely down for a Wharrie trip though
