Thinking about taking a trip soon out to Davis Mountain area, any good trails to hit up out there?

You could drive down to Big Bend Ranch State Park, which is different from the National Park. I have only been there once, but I think there are a lot of trails there, and it is real pretty. Go in on the Presidio side.

The River Road, which is a paved highway, runs along the Rio Grande on the edge of the State Park from Presidio to Lajitas. It’s an awesome drive.

Big Bend Ranch State Park is your best bet although this time of year it's gonna be hot. Fresno Canyon Trail and Road to No Where are good. Be prepared for pin striping on some of the more narrow trails. Overall great park and vastly less traveled compared to the National Park. Pinto Canyon Road between Marfa and Ruidosa. Chispa Road south from Marfa to Candelaria is worth exploring although expect to get intercepted by the Border Patrol - it may also be overgrown and too narrow as you get close to the Rio Grande. Great area.
