That sucks man! Im from Fort Worth, Ive seen your truck around a few times. If your looking for a good auto shop still, my family has been goin to Don Perry's Garage since I can remember. They are pretty good, cheap and are very open about every thing. There were a couple of times were they told me how to fix my truck so I could save money and do it at home. They are off Trail Lake south of I20

    Anyone ever hear of planoled.com?

I met the guy who runs it in Canton this Katy weekend. Prices are ridiculously cheap and they have a 1year warranty...

I'm almost too skeptical to even try them.

I need a CB and a fire extinguisher.
    And some Scepter fuel cans.

Anyone have a local lead for the extinguisher? Prefer Purple K, but ABC would be fine. 5lb.

CB... smaller the better. Not really sure whats current. Saw some threads on TW, most are old.

I have a Halon fire extinguisher out of an airplane. Hope I never have to use it.

Get a Uniden pro510 or 520xl. Only difference between the two is the PA function

For a small CB try the Midland 75-822, its handheld so small and easy to move.

For the fire extinguiser this is a list of TX Amerex dealers for Purple K http://amerex-fire.com/where-to-buy/?buy-location=TX. I just went with Kidde Mariner from Ace, nothing fancy but it will do what I need it to.

Is that Midland 75-822 compatible with an external antenna for reaching people when I'm in the brush at Big Bend, etc?

Can't answer that but I'm sure a little googlefu would lead you to that answer from someone smarter than I about CBs.
