So used an infrared thermometer to check the temp in my black truck today and it was only 150°F.

Sounds about right for my working conditions....800º Jet blast while on concrete in the sun. About as fun as it sounds!

    But I'm loving it

    Stupid questions:

I bought my truck from CarMax. It has 30,000 miles on it and the original warranty was 36,000 I believe.

    1) is the recommended maintenance (5k, 15k and 30k) covered under the warranty?
    2) since I'm not the original owner, but it should be under warranty, can I take it to a dealership and have the recommended maintenance done under warranty?
    3) if so, what is the recommended dealership?

I can't speak for the warranty, but I highly recommend Toyota of Fort Worth. I've been to them a few times, and I have zero complaints.

Avoid the Toyota dealership in Granbury. They have more tools working there than arw in the tool boxes.

I really like that on draft but out of the bottle it seems to have too much carbonation.

Hello thread! Bedford boy here.... Not too far from FTW. At all would love to get some ideas for some
Cheap improvements. Just had leaf springs recall work completed. Looking to upgrade front struts and maybe some
New rear shocks. Anyone have any concerns over front bearings at 103k miles? Had new tires all round and alignment now shimming at 65-75mph that wasn't there before. Had realigned twice by same shop still shimmies. Thinking maybe bad struts or something else. Ideas?

I just ordered new bearings for my truck with 75k, $360 shipped for 2 ready to install. I'm with the change them early to prevent catastrophic failure later. A bad bearing will make noise with the front tires in the air spinning, easy to check if you have a floor jack.
