    Just drove from home to Lovefield Airport to pick someone up. That was a beating. Overall though, I did good for 2 wheel drive also. Felt bad, saw at least 2 dozen stranded, but couldn't stop because I didn't have tow ropes or anything on me, plus didn't want to get myself stuck trying to be a hero.

    Nonetheless, made it there in back just over 4 hrs.

    My wife and I were both on "work from home" duty today. We went out for lunch. Went shopping. No big deal. I'm a proud Texan, but dang, this area DOES NOT know how to do winter driving. The panhandle gets worse that this every year.

    It was bad during the day, we ran errands all day. As it got late and colder, the slush from the day turned to giant icy pot holes or smooth black ice.

    That being said, I always hate that complaint. Of course people don't know how to drive in this, it happens maybe once a year, but really only once every couple of years. Just like up north, when you get it all the time, you're used to it. And from working in the airline industry same thing, areas that get this weather regularly have the equipment on hand to prep planes/runways/roads and so on. It would be a waste for municipalities in this area to stock up on deicing equipment when it is only needed every once in a blue moon.

    After all that ranting, you're right, people can't drive in this shot here.:D

    and...unless you have a limited slip rear end....we prerunners have a 1WD :mad:

    Exactly why I have never understood Prerunners.

    Sorry, but as far as I'm concerned a 2wd truck with the wheels and height of a 4wd is pointless vanity. Reminds me of a little kid wearing a superman costume.

    Looks cool! Alright I have a question. Are the rear 5100s longer than stock? I think I will be lifting the rear 1-2 inches so I want to make sure I get the correct Bilstein shock. Thanks!

    They have 2 versions of the 5100s. A 0"-2" and a 3"-4". The ones I have are the extended since I have 2.5" of lift due to the Dakars and 1/4" lift due to the shims. Plus I plan on putting a Firestone Ride Rite kit on in the near future.
