You might need those with the icy roads already proving problems all over.

I am sure my DuraTracs have saved my ass a few times over the years. I drove from Fort Worth to OKC on Dec 26, 2012 when we had that real bad storm. Took me 6 hours but I made it safely.

Roads from Arlington to west ft worth are not bad. Just kept it under 50. Dumb fucks could not pass me fast enough even crossing bridges where cars were abandoned and wrecked on both shoulders.

That was part of the decision to get those now instead of waiting. The Dunlops weren't terrible, contrary to popular belief, but they were getting bad as they were wearing down. I probably could have gotten another 10-15k out of them, but just didn't want to chance it.

I didn't realize these are 10lbs. heavier per tire. My MPG is suffering :(.

North Fort Worth to Irving was fine this morning. I didn't even see any ice on the bridges. I'd still be cautious, but I felt safe...even with the other idiots on the road.

I saw 4 wrecks last night driving home, one guy was half way on top of a guard rail.

Classic BMW of Plano. I'll probably be getting there around 0700. Normally a pretty good turn out if the weather is nice!
