This is good practice but technically I don't think it's required. Per Colorado.gov in national forests you have to be a minimum 150 yards from residences, buildings, etc AND cannot shoot from or across a road but it doesn't specify a minimum distance you have to be away from roads as long as you aren't shooting on or across them. Also you can't shoot into or within a cave lol

Except you have to check regional guidelines. I know down by Decker's the sign as you enter Turkey Creek Canyon specifically states 100yrds away from the road. Interesting too while double checking myself there are a ton of closures now for shooting area:

I might be mistaken but I am not seeing any of Arapahoe county areas closed at least on there... I know they have closed 2 of the spots I really liked due to all the trash and bull shit people were leaving like mattresses tvs full bathtubs and other things. One can only haul out so many items safely

I've never even thought about shooting into a cave, but now I really want to do that. Sounds awesome

Needed to make a list of what is happening this month so I can find it somewhere...

Finish Bed rack and get it wired
    Install the CB
    RTT on and tested
    Overhead Switches and Relays
    Dual Batteries
    12" Rear Shock Relocate
    Extended brake lines
    Attach full skids
(if I can get it in time) Needle bearing replacement
    Replace CV's
    Newer Calipers
    ABS kill switch
    Get the front diff resealed

    I think that is it...

Do you have a shackle flip and longer rear springs already? If not you wait on that 12" shock relocate.

We are doing a Shackle flip to go with the Dakars, shouldn't be an issue after that

Dakars are stock length springs. Even with a shackle flip you don't need 12" shocks. Just trying to help you prioritize.
