Looks like these 2 are the best plug and play remote starter. I have a H key so it looks like they both have a part where you have to splice some wires (which I'm real nervous about because I'm not good at that) but is there a reason the 12 Volt cost more than the Fortin? Is one better than the other?

Fortin doesn't have the best record from what I've read

I ordered a remote start from 12 volts solutions last year...they created a shipping label and never sent me the merchandise...after waiting 6 weeks and several emails and calls with no response from them at all! I opened a case with my credit card company and got my money back! What a waste of time...12 volts solutions sucks! They can take their remote start and stick in their ass I bet it would fit without issue.

Viper/DEI brands or Compustar are the only ones I'd bother with.

I was looking at getting that too as I always had Viper before but wanted to try these as they were plug and play. Was hoping to do it myself...

I'd bite the bullet and pay a professional to install it. If you're not that comfortable splicing into wires, then trying to install a remote start system is not for you.

12V solutions is completely plug-n-play and can be installed in less than ten minutes. I got mine within a couple of days. I'll never look back!

I believe it’s completely plug and play if you have a push button start. For H key, there something with the TPMS that you need to splice

    A few minor things...
I have the 12volt one. Had it for 2 years now. Never had a problem with it.

    Hey,

I just installed the Evo-All. I asked the company on Amazon selling them for Camrys, to program it for my 2018 Tacoma for $105 total.

Finished installing it and it works fine but now the touch lock sensor on the drive door does not work. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a fix?

Fortin support said this was an option and could be turned on and off with the entune options but the manual does not mention it.

    Thank you

I sell Fortin on here and never had any issues. With Hkey it’s plug and play minus tapping into the tpms wire.

It is a (push start) not hkey on a 2018 Tacoma Limited. The Hkey’s did not have the handle lock and unlock sensors right?Do all 2018 Tacoma’s have the touch lock sensor on the door handle? If I unplug the unit, everything is back to normal so standard trouble shooting issues should not be a factor. When I plug it in the remote start works fine, as well as door handle unlock sensor but the handle lock sensor does not work...any ideas you may have would be appreciated!

Maybe when the seller programmed the module they didn’t check the box stating “push to start”? Just grasping as straws here.
