Nothing makes me feel like more of a stooge than seeing how deficient I am in the "MAN" category. I need to buck up. Sweet build.

    Thanks for the compliment.
Speaking of the MAN category, when my wife saw the new light bar I got ,she made fun of me and asked why it was so little, she thought I was getting a big one for the roof. She said the little one looked stupid on the front bumper.:anonymous:

Might be getting a little ahead of myself. But I found that the more parts there are in the pile the more motivated I am to install them. The rear LT parts have collected dust, and are starting to rust. Thus to move the rear LT project forward I need more parts laying around that I have no intention of installing for months.
image.jpg Just some early thoughts. I didn't have any PVC pipe laying around for mock up. So I used painters tape. I think it's time to order. Tubing 1.75" DOM . Gonna sleep on the idea. Any opinions, words of wisdom, or even jokes at my pathetic design, are all appreciated. o_O

Plan out how you want your shocks mounted, fuel cell?, spare tires (single/dual), jack, and rear bumper set-up before you start. Good luck.

I haven't decided all that yet. I'm gonna do the SUA first them build the bed cage. Just throwing around some ideas. Pretty sure I'm gonna do shocks inside frame, vertical 1:1, no fuel cell, I got a dual tire carrier/bumper I have to work into the design.

New parts to add to the pile. Some skid plates from All Pro for $250, feels stout, has the hardware. Seems like a good deal for $250, was at my house in 3 days.
Also flushed the front diff and had her aligned.

Armor arrived this week. @allpro skid plates seem stout. Mocked them up. At first a hole was off. I figured the problem came from my truck, one of the tabs that had the nut welded to the backside from the factory seemed crooked. I drilled a 1/8" bigger hole. The skids lined up perfectly after that. Removed them and primed. Over all for $250 they seem like a good deal. I'm happy with the purchase. Plus I didn't have to wait 12 weeks to get them.

Been a while since I did any work on the truck. Decided I'd play with the new toy, and cut out the floor on the bed and mock up the tire carrier/ bumper I bought last summer from a TW member @outdoorAZ .

I should have all the factory stuff off tomorrow. Start the SUA conversion in a day or so. Hopefully make a little progress before I head back to work.

2 days left for this hitch. Then home for a week.
I've been researching manual brake proportioning valves. Anyone have suggestions on brand ? I'd really like something that I won't have to spend a day looking for a fitting to fit a fitting to fit a fitting:annoyed:.
Saw this on a members site. Seems like a good deal. I'd like something with all the correct parts to start with.

Most I've seen use Wilwood. Yeah you need fittings. Use a swagelok for sure! Works amazing

Ended up going with this one. Couple other people recommended it, has the fittings and wasn't back ordered.
