I’ve got a 2018 TRD Sport and mounted the ARB signal compressor under the hood, passenger side front, near the washer fluid reservoir.

I previously installed a winch bumper so I had the old aluminum crash bars from my OEM bumper sitting around. I used one of the short pieces of the to mount the compressor to. Worked perfectly.

I already have an aux fuse block behind the battery, and I wanted to keep the passenger side rear area open for a future dual battery set-up.

I looked at hundreds of online posts before deciding to go this direction, and I didn’t see anyone else posting this as an option. I’ve also never seen someone repurpose their old crash bar as a mounting base, so figured I’d share.

I’m either an innovator or a fool, and only time will tell.

This seems like a pretty good spot. I'm too curious how it holds up. I've been trying to figure out how to mount mine. The bedside location seems to be pretty good but it sounds like extending the harness can be a little bit of a pain. Did the stock harness have any problems wrapping all the way around to the fuse block?

It’s actually is a really solid spot. No issue at all with the included wiring. My son has my truck right now but I’ll snap some additional pics of the wiring in the next day or so. I used the included wiring harness, relay, and switch. I ran the switch to a blank I had on the left of the steering wheel, under the little coin holder cubby thing.

Works perfectly and I love the location. I’ve used it half a dozen times and no issues. Go for it.
